My story

A publishing editor by profession, I spent over a decade in the publishing industry. Since I was an avid reader it was a work that I enjoyed. In the year 2008 I took on a project on behalf of the Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH) and I commissioned the book ' Monuments Around Santiniketan' (2009). The book was very well received and it is now held by 26 WorldCat member libraries worldwide. It is also available in Royal Ontario Museum Library, University of Wisconsin-Madison Libraries and archived in the IIMS Kolkata library. However, at the time I remember I was rather detached from needing any kind of recognition whatsoever. Also it was the same time that I realised that I wanted something else that would give me the sense of fulfilment that I did not really have.

Not connecting with my inner calling - a deeper question emerged “Who am I” triggered by a mystical experience. This drew me into the realm of spiritual studies - a journey spanning around 20 years. After studying various texts, practicing meditation, making a foray into the study of Nichiren Buddhism and joining their practice, and eventually I became a student of Rajyoga philosophy and meditation. My journey however did not stop there as I continued to study, learn and grow integrating teachings of wisdom traditions with lessons from modern science and psychology. All this learning, training and practice transformed my mind and worldview. In the process I found deep peace & joy within my life.

As I served as a meditation teacher and counsellor, guiding people to overcome mental stress, depression, addictions, low self-esteem and unhappy relationships I realised how vulnerable people were as they were faced with myriad challenges. I myself had a physical setback 7 years ago when I was completely immobilised with pain and the MRI revealed I had two slip discs in the lumber region. I was determined to be out of this debilitating situation and be back into action without depending on painkillers or machines. The power of meditation revealed to me the mind-body connect.  This led me to explore the world of energy studies and various emotional healing modalities.

As a meditation facilitator I also realised that not all people were spiritually inclined, yet they needed easier ways to find a solution to their problems- some tool that was not beyond their comprehension. My approach is purely secular and  I feel it is important that people from all walks of life and from diverse belief systems must have equal opportunity to explore the possibilities, ideas, tools and techniques that can bring about empowerment, which enable people live their truest potential.

I am passionate about my work as an Emotional Wellness and Transformational  Coach and my mission is to ease as many souls from their emotional baggage and enable them to live their true potential.  With a deep understanding of the human spirit and being fully CERTIFIED and equipped with the modern techniques of therapy enables me to help people find solutions to various challenging aspects of their lives, catalysing transformation and empowerment.

Holistic success is when you enjoy the journey as much as the goal, celebrating every little milestone that takes you closer to your dream
